I have been recommending this book since I started reading it and have been trying to guess everyone's birth order since. :)
This book has helped me not only understand myself and my firstborn characteristics and why I act the way I do but also how to understand others better; including my children, according to their birth order.
The author; Dr. Kevin Leman, describes the common personalities in first-borns, middle children, and last-borns then goes on to describe marriage between similar birth orders and different birth orders and what each can do to better their marriage, and last but not least, he helps you understand your children and how to parent each birth order. He argues that birth order can affect our personalities and relationships (I can only attest to that as he was right to the "T" about the first-born characteristics).
This book helped me better understand myself, my husband, my children, and everyone else. I can not recommend it highly enough.
